Happy Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day! Events are held around the world to demonstrate ways that we can all protect the environment. Check out the Earth Day website if you would like to learn how you can get involved. We can all make a difference! Here are 10 simple things that we can do everyday:

• Buy a reusable water bottle instead of buying bottled water 

• Use both sides of a paper
• Use one less paper napkin
• Recycle newspapers & magazines
• Only do laundry when you have a full load
• Try to use cold/warm water more often than hot water esp for laundry
• Take shorter showers
• Brush your teeth without running the water                      
• Turn off the lights!
• Pay bills online instead of receiving paper bills/statements

P.S. Remember Captain Planet?! I used to love that show. I think we need a show like this now more than ever.
